Ki & Aikido Classes in Beaverton
We plan to have Ki & Aikido satellite programs conveniently located at various schools and neighborhood locations within Beaverton. The satellite programs are affiliated with the main regional dojo in Tigard. Students are encouraged to train at SW dojo in addition to their local program.

How to Get Started with Aikido Classes

Oak Hills Rec Center Wednesdays
Four class options are provided at the Oak Hills Recreation Center in the Oak Hills neighborhood.

3:00pm to 4:00pm  - Kids Ki/Aikido
4:00pm to 5:00pm  - Adv. Youth Ki/Aikido
7:00pm to 9:00pm  - Adults Ki/Aikido

Kids Ki & Aikido - kindie up to 6th grade.
Wednesdays from 3:00 to 4:00 this 60 minute class is for elementary school kids. Middle school and early teens are encourage to start in this class and also train in the Advanced Youth class. The class focuses on beginning ki and aikido exercises to develop mind and body coordination. Aikido techniques are taught in an environment of non-dissension and cooperative practice. Focus, concentration and self-control are core skills developed through games and exercises. Pre-K kids can join in too (4+) if they can manage themselves pretty well.

Advanced Youth Ki & Aikido - 6th grade and up, orange belt and above.
Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 this 60 minute class is for more advanced kids and beginning teens. The class focuses on more advanced ki and aikido exercises to develop mind and body coordination. Aikido techniques are taught in an environment of non-dissension and cooperative practice. Focus, concentration and self-control are core skills developed through games and exercises. For students with orange and blue belt ranks additional techniques are taught to prepare for more advanced testing. Developing skills in leadership and personal development are fostered in a challenging environment.

Adults Ki & Aikido - ages 14+ and never too old!
Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 this 2 hour class is for mature teens and adults of all ages and abilities. The first hour of class focuses on ki training and related exercises to develop strength of mind - concentration, focus, recovery and perspective. The second hour is focused on applying ki to aikido techniques. we work together in an environment of non-dissension and cooperative practice. Personal development and application to daily life are key elements of our training.
